 We are Spiritual by nature.

 Say not,
I have found the truth,
but rather, I have found a truth.

Say not,
I have found the path
of the soul. Say rather, I have
met the soul walking upon my path.

For the soul walks upon all paths.
The soul walks not upon a line,
neither does it grow like a reed.

The soul unfolds itself like a lotus
of countless petals.

~Kahlil Gibran

Teach me how to trust my heart,my mind, my intuition,
my inner knowing, the senses of my body, the blessings of my spirit.

Teach me to trust these things
so that I may enter my sacred
space and love beyond my fear,
and thus walk in balance with the
passing of each glorious sun.

Lakota Prayer

This is my favorite prayer.

** Adyashanti **

To have genuine sincerity is absolutely necessary in the spiritual life.

Sincerity encompasses the qualities of honesty, genuineness, and integrity.

To be sincere does not mean to be perfect. In fact, the very effort to be perfect

is itself insincere, because it is a way of avoiding seeing yourself as you are right now.

To be able and willing to see yourself as you are, with all of your imperfections

and illusions, requires genuine sincerity and courage. If we are constantly trying to

hide from ourselves, we will never be able to awaken from our illusion of self.

** Richard Leonard **

An ancient cornerstone of prayer
is that our desire to thank God is
itself God's gift. Be grateful.

** Jane Goodall **

You cannot share your life with a dog,

as I had done in Bournemouth, or a cat,

and not know perfectly well that animals

have personalities and minds and feelings.

 ** Kellie Elmore **

If we change our thoughts from
'it's too late' to, 'there's still hope',
we might see some change in the
world.

Be soft. Do not
let the world
make you hard.

Do not let pain
make you hate.

Do not let the
bitterness steal
your sweetness.

Take pride that even
though the rest of the
world may disagree,
you still believe it to
be a beautiful place.

~Kurt Vonnegut

** Nicholas Sparks **

And I learned what
is obvious to a child.

That life is simply a
collection of little lives,
each lived one day at a
time.

That each day should be
spent finding beauty in
flowers and poetry and
talking to animals.

That a day spent with
dreaming and sunsets
and refreshing breezes,
cannot be bettered.

Until one has loved an animal,
a part of one's soul remains
unawakened.

~Anatole France

All animals seek love,
desire love, and need love.
Just like you and me.

~A.D. Williams

 ** Richelle E. Goodrich,(Smile Anyway) **

One smile has
the power to;
Calm fears.
Soften stone walls.
Warm a cold heart.
Invite a new friend.
Mimic a loving hug.
Beautify the bearer.
Lighten heavy loads.
Promote good deeds.
Brighten a gloomy day.
Comfort a grieving spirit.
Offer hope to the forlorn.
Send a message of caring.
Lift the downtrodden soul.
Patch up invisible wounds.
Weaken the hold of misery.
Act as medicine for suffering.
Attract the companionship of angels.
Fulfill the human need for recognition.
Who knew changing the world would
prove so simple?

Live your life from your heart.
Share from your heart.
And your story will touch
and heal people's souls.

~Melodie Beattie

Have faith in your souls sacred plan.
Spread your wings and reach for the sky!

~Dr. Wayne Dyer

If
your
mind is
happy then
you are happy
anywhere you go.
When wisdom awakens
within you, you will see truth
wherever you look. Truth is all
there is. It's like, when you learned
how to read, you can then read wherever you go...

-Ajahn Chah-

We are

We do not become healers.
We came as healers.
We are!
Some of us are still
catching up to what we are.

We do not become storytellers.
We came as carriers of the stories
we and our ancestors actually lived.
We are.
Some of us are still
catching up to what we are.

We do not become artists.
We came as artists.
We are.
Some of us are still
catching up to what we are.

We do not become writers,
dancers, musicians, helpers,
peacemakers.
We came as such.
We are!
Some of us are still
catching up to what we are.

We do not learn to Love
in this sense.
We came as Love.
We are Love!
Some of us are still
catching up to who
we truly are.

-Clarissa Pinkola Estes-

** Marianne Williamson **

You may believe that you are responsible

for what you do, but not for what you think.

The truth is that you are responsible for

what you think, because it is only at this

level that you can exercise choice. What

you do comes from what you think.

-From The book:(A Return to Love:

Reflections on the Principles of "A Course in Miracles" )

We are all visitors to this time, this place.
We are just passing through.
Our purpose here is to observe, to learn,

Aboriginal Proverb

We are connected

I meet you in the void beyond time.
I shall remain here with you forever.
I have no life left to live, my Beloved.
Yet it feels so good to feel You living in me.
Do you feel that goodness Yourself,
since there is in truth no me?
I cannot touch this in words.
For I have no mind left to grasp.
I explode in the heart. I am Your I.

~Rafael Stoneman

We are here to awaken
from the illusion of our separateness.

~Thich Nhat Hanh

 Your heart and my heart

are very,very old friends.

-Hafiz-

Surrender yourself humbly.
Do not be concerned with loss
or gain. Love the world as your
own Self; then you can truly care
for all things.

~Lao Tsu

Singing Tears

The dam has been bursting all along,

singing tears of the mountain's song.

The puppet breaks free from its strings,

the caterpillar soars with new wings.

Dreamers shall awaken beyond time,

in love with a human heart so divine.

The actor surrenders the final mask,

in Your light all life comes to bask.

A fruit suddenly drops from its tree,

such sweetness like honey is to be.

Rafael Stoneman

Silence of the heart is necessary so you can hear God

everywhere  in the closing of the door, in the person

who needs you, in the birds that sing, in the flowers,

in the animals.

Mother Teresa

 Life is an opportunity,
benefit from it.
Life is beauty,
admire it.
Life is a dream,
realize it.
Life is a challenge,
meet it.
Life is a duty,
complete it.
Life is a promise,
fulfill it.
Life is sorrow,
overcome it.
Life is a song,
sing it.
Life is a struggle,
accept it.
Life is a tragedy,
confront it.
Life is an adventure,
dare it.
Life is luck,
make it.
Life is too precious,
do not destroy it.
Life is life,
fight for it!

-Mother Teresa-

Peace

If we could read the secret

history of our enemies

we should find in each

man's life sorrow and suffering

enough to disarm all hostility.

~Longfellow

Love is what we are born with. Fear is what we learn.

The spiritual journey is the unlearning of fear and

prejudices and the acceptance of love back in our

hearts.

Love is the essential reality and our purpose on earth.

To be consciously aware of it, to experience love in

ourselves and others, is the meaning of life.

Meaning does not lie in things. Meaning lies in us.

Marianne Williamson

 **  Zen Master Dogen **

Do not follow the ideas of others,
but learn to listen to the voice within
yourself.

Your body and mind will become clear
and you will realize the unity of all things.
The Buddha meditated for six years,
Bodhidharma for nine.

The practice of meditation is not a method
for the attainment of realization

it is enlightenment itself.

Whenever you find yourself
doubting how far you can go,
just remember how far you
have come.

Remember everything you
have faced, all the battles
you have won, and all the
fears you have overcome.

Only as high as I
reach can I grow.

Only as far as I
seek can I go.

Only as deep as I
look can I see.

Only as much as I
dream can I be.

~Karen Ravn

** The Dalai Lama **

Gratitude:
Every day, think as you wake up,
Today I am fortunate to have woken up.

I am alive, I have a precious human life.
I am not going to waste it.

I am going to use all my energies
to develop myself, to expand my
heart out to others, to achieve
enlightenment for the benefit of all beings.

I am going to have kind
thoughts towards others.

I am not going to get angry,
or think badly about others.

I am going to benefit others
as much as I can.

** Johann Wolfgang von Goethe **

I have come to the frightening conclusion
that I am the decisive element.
It is my personal approach that creates the climate.
It is my daily mood that makes the weather.
I possess tremendous power
to make life miserable or joyous.
I can be a tool of torture
or an instrument of inspiration,
I can humiliate or humor,
hurt or heal. In all situations,
it is my response that decides
whether a crisis is escalated
or De-escalated,
and a person is humanized
or De-humanized.
If we treat people as they are,
we make them worse.
If we treat people as they ought to be,
we help them become
what they are capable of becoming.

We are all connected. When you touch one thing, you are touching everything. Whatever we do has an effect on others. Therefore, we must learn to live mindfully to touch the peace inside each of us. Peace in the world starts with peace in oneself. If everyone lives mindfully, everyone will be more healthy, feel more fulfilled in their daily lives and there will be more peace. This collective mindfulness can bring positive change to our families, organizations, communities, nations and future generations.

Thich Nhat Hanh

** Marianne Williamson **

It takes courage to endure the sharp pains
of self discovery rather than choose to take
the dull pain of unconsciousness that would

last the rest of our lives..

We cannot change our past.
We cannot change the fact that
people will act in a certain way.

We cannot change the inevitable.
The only thing we can do is play
on the one string we have, and that
is our attitude.

I am convinced that life is 10% what
happens to me and 90% of how I react
to it.

And so it is with you. We are in charge
of our Attitudes.

** Ralph Waldo Emerson **

Be not the slave of your own past,
plunge into the sublime seas, dive
deep, and swim far, so you shall
come back with new self-respect,
with new power, and with an
advanced experience that shall
explain and overlook the old.

** Ajahn Chah **

When coming out of sitting,
don’t think that you’re coming
out of meditation, but that you
are only changing postures. If
you reflect in this way, you will
have peace. Wherever you are,
you will have this attitude of practice
with you constantly. You will have a
steady awareness within yourself.

** Barbara Paula Angelis **

Open yourself to the
potential of this moment.

Let go, of how you think
it should look.
Let go, of how you think
it should feel.
Let go, of trying to control
what is happening.
Just let go.

Now, you've created the
space for magic to occur.
Now, you've opened the
door so that the mysterious
may rush in.

Now, you've made room
in your heart for passion.

** Shane Koyczan **

I sit before flowers hoping they
will train me in the art of opening up.

I stand on mountain tops believing that
avalanches will teach me to let go.

I know nothing,
but I am here to learn.

** Shauna Niequist **

When life is sweet,
say thank you and celebrate.

And when life is bitter,
say thank you and grow.
